FDA-approved Juvederm dermal filler gel is considered one of the most reliable, effective, and safe anti-aging injectable facial treatments. The Juvederm family of injectables is developed to add volume to facial skin instantly to improve the fullness of the face.
It is a hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler. There are several products in the Juvederm family. They all are used to help people address the facial signs of aging. Each product in the Juvederm line features different bonding and concentrations of hyaluronic acid. The different products are tailored to target specific problems when injected into different areas and depths. Juvederm fillers have a smooth, gel-like consistency.
Young, healthy-looking skin contains an abundance of a naturally hydrating substance called hyaluronic acid (HA). But as you age, sunlight and other factors can reduce the amount of HA in your skin. The lack of HA causes your skin to lose structure and volume, creating unwanted facial wrinkles and folds – like those parentheses lines around your nose and mouth. Using a dermal filler like JUVÉDERM® is a safe and effective way to replace the HA your skin has lost, bringing back its volume and smoothing away facial wrinkles and folds.
Yes. Hyaluronic acid occurs naturally in the body and therefore it also dissolves naturally with time and is integrated into your body’s tissues. Over time, the molecules dissolve and turn into water as they depart without leaving any trace in your body.
One size doesn’t fit all when it comes to wrinkle treatment. A customized treatment plan is important for achieving the best results. That’s why JUVÉDERM is available in two formulations. This allows our healthcare professionals to tailor treatment to meet your unique needs.
You may experience pain, tenderness, temporary redness, swelling, bruising, firmness, and bumps at the injection sites. Studies have shown that these are usually mild to moderate in nature and clear up on their own in 7 days or less. If you experience swelling at the injection site, you can apply an ice pack for a brief period.
You should avoid the following for at least 24 hours after treatment: Strenuous exercise, consumption of alcoholic beverages, extended exposure to sun or heat.
