Caramel Fried Apples

Ingredients

2 Cups Chayote squash, peeled and cut into small cubes
1 tsp olive oil
1 ½ Tbsp Splenda
2 Tbsp water
½ tsp lemon juice
½ tsp cinnamon
1 Tbsp Walden Farms Caramel Dip (or syrup)
1 Tbsp Walden Farms Apple Butter

Instructions

  1. Heat a medium frying pan over medium heat, add all the ingredients
  2. Stir fry the faux apples (chayote) until the apples start to brown and soften – about 10 minutes
  3. Turn burner down to low (add more water if necessary), cover and let sit for 5 minutes
  4. Turn off burner and allow to cool
  5. Place the caramel apples in a container and refrigerate until ready to use
